צַדִּיק אַתָּה יְיָ,
וְיָשָׁר מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ׃
צַדִּיק יְיָ בְּכָל דְּרָכָיו
וְחָסִיד בְּכָל מַעֲשָׂיו׃ Righteous are You, Lord,
and Your judgments are fair.
The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
and kind in all His deeds. |
צִדְקָתְךָ צֶדֶק לְעוֹלָם
וְתוֹרָתְךָ אֱמֶת׃
מִשְׁפְּטֵי יְיָ אֱמֶת
צָדְקוּ יַחְדָּו׃ Your righteousness is eternal
and Your law is truth.
The judgments of the Lord are true;
they are all righteous.

בַּאֲשֶׁר דְּבַר מֶלֶךְ שִׁלְטוֹן
וּמִי יאמַר לוֹ מַה תַּעֲשֶׂה׃
וְהוּא בְאֶחָד וּמִי יְשִׁיבֶנּוּ
וְנַפְשׁוֹ אִוְּתָה וַיָּעַשׂ׃ For the word of the king is supreme,
and who can tell Him what to do?
He is single-minded, who can sway Him?
His soul desired - and so He did. |
קָטן וְגָדוֹל שָׁם הוּא
וְעֶבֶד חָפְשִׁי מֵאֲדנָיו׃
הֵן בַּעֲבָדָיו לא יַאֲמִין
וּבְמַלְאָכָיו יָשִׂים תָּהֳלָה׃
אַף כִּי אֱנוֹשׁ רִמָּה
וּבֶן אָדָם תּוֹלֵעָה׃ The small and the great are there,
and the slave is free from his master.
Behold, His servants He does not trust
and His angels he charges with frivolity.
How much less a mortal - (that) maggot,
and the son of man - (that) worm! |
הַצּוּר תָּמִים פָּעֳלוֹ
כִּי כָל דְּרָכָיו מִשְׁפָּט,
אֵל אֱמוּנָה וְאֵין עָוֶל
צַדִּיק וְיָשָׁר הוּא׃ The Rock, His work is perfect,
for all His ways are justice;
God of faithfulness and without iniquity,
righteous and fair is He. |
דַּיָּן הָאֱמֶת,
שׁוֹפֵט צֶדֶק וֶאֱמֶת.
בָּרוּךְ דַּיַּן הָאֱמֶת, כִּי כָל
מִשְׁפָּטָיו צֶדֶק וֶאֱמֶת׃ True Judge
judging with righteousness and truth.
Blessed be the True Judge, for all of
His judgments are righteous and true. |
יש מוסיפים׃
בִּלַּע הַמָּוֶת לָנֶצַח
וּמָחָה אֲדנָי אֱלהיִם
דִּמְעָה מֵעַל כָּל פָּנִים וְחֶרְפַּת
עַמּוֹ יָסִיר מֵעַל כָּל
הָאָרֶץ כִּי יְיָ דִּבֵּר׃ some add:
May He swallow up death forever
and may the Almighty God wipe away
tears from every face and the scorn
of His people He will remove from all
the earth, because the Lord said so. |
יִחְיוּ מֵתֶיךָ
נְבֵלָתִי יְקוּמוּן
הָקִיצוּ וְרַנְּנוּ שׁכְנֵי עָפָר
כִּי טַל אוֹרת טַלֶּךָ
וָאָרֶץ רְפָאִים תַּפִּיל׃ Your dead will live [again];
my corpses will arise.
Awake and sing, dwellers of dust!
For the dew of light [is] Your dew,
And the earth will give forth the dead. |
וְהוּא רַחוּם
יְכַפֵּר עָוֹן וְלא יַשְׁחִית,
וְהִרְבָּה לְהָשִׁיב אַפּוֹ,
וְלא יָעִיר כָּל חֲמָתוֹ׃
יְיָ הוֹשִׁיעָה
הַמֶּלֶךְ יַעֲנֵנוּ בְיוֹם קָרְאֵנוּ׃ And He is merciful,
atones for sin and does not destroy,
frequently withdraws His anger
and does not arouse all His rage.
Save, Lord!
