הַצּוּר תָּמִים פָּעֳלוֹ
כִּי כָל דְּרָכָיו מִשְׁפָּט,
אֵל אֱמוּנָה וְאֵין עָוֶל
צַדִּיק וְיָשָׁר הוּא׃ The Rock, His work is perfect,
for all His ways are justice;
God of faithfulness and without iniquity,
righteous and fair is He. |
הַצּוּר תָּמִים בְּכָל פּוֹעַל.
מִי יאמַר לוֹ מַה תִפְעָל,
הַשַּׁלִיט בְּמַטָּה וּבְמַעַל,
מֵמִית וּמְחַיֶּה,
מוֹרִיד שְׁאוֹל וַיָּעַל׃ The Rock, perfect in every work.
Who can tell Him what to do?
He rules below and above,
brings death and life,
brings down to the grave and raises up.

הַצּוּר תָּמִים בְּכָל מַעֲשֶׂה.
מִי יאמַר לוֹ מַה תַּעֲשֶׂה,
הָאוֹמֵר וְעוֹשֶׂה,
חֶסֶד חִנָּם לָנוּ תַעֲשֶׂה,
וּבִזְכוּת הַנֶּעֱקַד
כְּשֶׂה, הַקְשִׁיבָה וַעֲשֵׂה׃ The Rock, perfect in every deed.
Who can tell Him what to do?
The one who says and does,
do undeserved kindness with us.
In the merit of [Isaac] who was bound
like a lamb, hearken and do.

צַדִּיק בְּכָל דְּרָכָיו
הַצוּר תָּמִים,
אֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם וּמָלֵא רַחֲמִים.
חֲמוֹל נָא וְחוּס נָא
עַל אָבוֹת וּבָנִים, כִּי לְךָ,
אָדוֹן, הַסְּלִיחוֹת וְהָרַחֲמִים׃ Righteous One in all His ways,
Rock Who is perfect,
slow to anger and full of mercy.
Please take pity and please spare
parents and children, for Yours,
Lord, are forgiveness and mercy. |
צַדִּיק אַתָּה יְיָ
לְהָמִית וּלְהַחֲיוֹת
אֲשֶׁר בְּיָדְךָ פִּקְדוֹן כָּל רוּחוֹת.
חָלִילָה לְךָ
זִכְרוֹנֵנוּ לִמְחוֹת,
וְיִהְיוּ נָא עֵינֶיךָ
בְּרַחֲמִים עָלֵינוּ פְקוּחוֹת
כִּי לְךָ אָדוֹן,
הַרַחֲמִים וְהָסְּלִיחוֹת׃ Righteous are You, Lord,
to bring death and resurrect,
for in Your hand are entrusted all spirits.
Far be it from You
to erase our remembrance.
Please, let Your eyes
observe us with mercy,
for Yours, O Lord,
are mercy and forgiveness. |
אָדָם אִם בֶּן שָׁנָה יִהְיֶה
אוֹ אֶלֶף שָׁנִים יִחְיֶה.
מַה יִתְרוֹן לוֹ
- כְּלא הָיָה יִהְיֶה.
בָּרוּך דַּיָּן הָאֱמֶת
מֵמִית וּמְחַיֶּה׃ A man, whether he be a year old,
or whether he lives a thousand years,
what did he gain?
He shall become, as if he has never been!
Blessed be the True Judge,
Who brings death and resurrects. |
בָּרוּךְ הוּא, כִּי אֱמֶת דִּינוֹ
וּמְשׁוֹטֵט הַכּל בְּעֵינוֹ
וּמְשַׁלֵּם לְאָדָם חֶשְׁבּוֹנוֹ וְדִינוֹ
וְהַכּל לִשְׁמוֹ הוֹדָיָה יִתֵּנוּ׃ Blessed be He, for His judgment is true,
as He inspects everything with His eye,
He pays man according to his own report
and all must acknowledge His Name. |
יָדַעְנוּ יְיָ
כִּי צֶדֶק מִשְׁפָּטֶךָ,
תִּצְדַּק בְּדָבְרֶךָ
וְתִזְכֶּה בְּשָׁפְטֶךָ,
וְאֵין לְהַרְהֵר
אַחַר מִדַּת שָׁפְטֶךָ.
צַדִּיק אַתָּה יְיָ,
וְיָשָׁר מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ׃ We know, Lord,
that Your judgment is righteous,
Righteous when You speak
and pure when You judge,
and nobody should question
the quality of Your judgement.
Righteous are You, Lord,
and Your judgments are fair. |
דַּיָּן הָאֱמֶת,
שׁוֹפֵט צֶדֶק וֶאֱמֶת.
בָּרוּךְ דַּיַּן הָאֱמֶת, כִּי כָל
מִשְׁפָּטָיו צֶדֶק וֶאֱמֶת׃ True Judge
judging with righteousness and truth.
Blessed be the True Judge, for all of
His judgments are righteous and true. |
נֶפֶשׁ כָּל חַי בְּיָדֶךָ,
צֶדֶק מָלְאָה יְמִינְךָ וְיָדֶךָ.
רַחֵם עַל פְּלֵיטַת
צאן יָדֶיךָ,
ותאמַר לַמַּלְאָךָ
הֶרֶף יָדֶךָ׃ The soul of all the living is in Your hand,
Your right hand is full of righteousness.
Have mercy on the remnant of
the sheep under Your hand,
and say to the angel [of death]:
"Hold back your hand!"

יש מוסיפים׃
גְּדוֹל הָעֵצָה וְרַב הָעֲלִילִיָּה,
אֲשֶׁר עֵינֶיךָ פְּקוּחוֹת עַל
כָּל דַּרְכֵי בְנֵי אָדָם,
לָתֵת לְאִישׁ כִּדְרָכָיו
וְכִפְרִי מַעֲלָלָיו׃ some add the second part:
Great in counsel and mighty in action,
whose eyes are open upon
all the ways of the children of man,
to give man according to his ways
and according to the fruit of his actions. |
לְהַגִּיד כִּי יָשָׁר יְיָ,
צוּרִי וְלּא עַוְלָתָה בּוֹ׃ To declare that the Lord is just,
my Rock in Whom there is no wrong. |
יְיָ נָתַן, וַיְיָ לָקָח,
יְהִי שֵׁם יְיָ מְבוֹרָךְ׃ The Lord gave and the Lord took away,
blessed be the name of the Lord. |
וְהוּא רַחוּם
יְכַפֵּר עָוֹן וְלא יַשְׁחִית,
וְהִרְבָּה לְהָשִׁיב אַפּוֹ,
וְלא יָעִיר כָּל חֲמָתוֹ׃ And He is merciful,
atones for sin and does not destroy,
frequently withdraws His anger
and does not arouse all His rage. |
